FOUNDATION SUPPORT / Friday, March 6th / 1:00-2:00 PM / The DC Center / This presentation will give grant-seekers an overview of HumanitiesDC’s grant for documentary short films called DC Docs. It will summarize what types of projects HDC is looking for, basic eligibility requirements, and how to navigate the grants portal system. There will be time for questions. The DC Docs grant is awarded to 501(c)3 non-profits, based in Washington, DC, that are producing short documentary films (up to 40 minutes run time) about the city’s life and culture. Applicants may apply for up to $35,000 in 2020. The deadline is May 15, 2020.

This interactive seminar will teach you the specifics on how to crowdfund. This seminar is suitable for anyone who is considering launching a campaign, in the middle of a campaign that’s not going as planned, or simply for people who want to learn more about the process.
