As the oldest independent film festival in Washington, the DC Independent Film Festival (DCIFF) has a storied history of presenting extraordinary films. We have showcased cutting edge features, shorts and documentaries on every subject from every country with every budget and subject imaginable.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Development
* Develop short and long-term fundraising plans to meet the needs of the organization
* Implement the organization’s fundraising and outreach strategies for all funders
* Execute grant proposals and other funding requests
* Plan and implement activities that build awareness of the organization to funders
* Build and support board and committee participation in fundraising activities
* Maintain and expand a database of current and prospective donors
* Manage sponsor and donor benefits

LGBTQ Film

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Programming
* Assist in the programming of LGBTQ Films
* Market LGBTQ Film Screenings
* Recruit Moderators for Filmmaker Q&As
* Recruit Reception Sponsors for Film Mix and Mingle
* Find and Contract Film Venue

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Development
* Increase Government Support from $0 to $16,667 for an annual budget of $50,000
* Produced LGBTQ Programming at no cost to DC Independent Film Festival
* Produced Fundraising Educational Conference at no cost to the Festival
* Secured Event Supplies Sponsors including venues and beverages
* Assisted in Doubling the number of Community Partners
* Established the first ever workplace giving program
